Background

You are invited to The Equity Hour. Where the political is personal a monthly show that   focuses on the intersection of social justice and the lived experience of community. We create a space for voices to be heard: Native Peoples, transgender and LGBTQ+, leaders, poets, artists, musicians, social activists, teachers, leaders and organizers, voices of the vulnerable.  We welcome all voices.

Our conversation aims to be inclusive, informative, informal, in-depth, and above all, human, to enrich understanding so that our community can better know and support itself.

Join your hosts Kit West and Maree McHugh to listen to the many unique voices that gather, have a story to tell, both singular and collective, personal and political.

THE EQUITY HOUR gives the people a place to be heard, and is part of the KURU Kindred Continuum Series and can be heard on the first Monday of the month at 10 a.m. and the following Sunday at noon on   KURU 89.1 FM; online at kuru891.org.
