KURU: Mission Statement
KURU seeks to operate a non-commercial volunteer based community radio station in Silver City, NM to provide programming and media access to segments of the community that are underserved.
Vision:
KURU sees itself as a vital and vibrant hub around which other organizations and individuals can engage with the community more effectively. It is a public square. It provides the soapbox and the megaphone. But it also sees the infrastructure that it creates as not simply an available resource, but a catalyst for more – and more effective – community activism and democratic processes in our region.
