“Do Respect the Women of the World”
Remember You ALL have Mothers”
The Pointer Sisters – “Yes, We Can Can”

The 100th Anniversary of International Women’s Day was celebrated in Silver City with the 2nd annual parade on Sunday 20 March.  GMCR was in the parade and we also videotaped it.  You can watch it below or it will be broadcast on CATS Channel 17 beginning Friday 1 April at 7pm.

Dancers, drummers, giant puppets, community groups and individuals  wound their way from Broadway to College on Bullard Street followed by a celebratory concert at the Silco Theater.

The turnout of participants and obsevers made the event a great success and a joyous occasion.  For more information or if you might want to particiapte in next year’s event, email wo*************@***il.com.  Download the event flyer here.
