Azima Lila Forest

Azima Lila Forest was drawn to Silver City 11 years ago by the presence of the Sufi community here.  She was for a time the Spiritual Director of the Southwest Sufi Community.  She is a dreamworker, Reiki healing practitioner, and spiritual guide.

She serves on the Local Food Committee of the Green Chamber of Commerce and is an avid gardener and participant in the High Desert Organic Gardeners group.  She is passionate about helping to create and develop a local, healthy, sustainable way of life for Silver City and the surrounding area, and views community radio as an important part of that.

With community radio, we can hear the news on local issues that matter to us; we can contribute to programming by creating shows of interest to local people; we can listen to and participate in conversation about things we care about.  And all without those annoying commercials!  These are the reasons she is so enthusiastic about having our own community radio station.
